Alex Greene
Zen Instructor
Alex Greene is a long-time Zen practitioner and Zen priest in the lineage of Tenshin Tanouye Roshi, Founding Abbot of Chozen-ji a Rinzai Zen Temple. He has been a core part of building the Spring Green location of Chosei Zen Dojo of Wisconsin and has taught in numerous IZL programs in the US and UK.
Alex Greene is a long-time Zen practitioner and Zen priest in the lineage of Tenshin Tanouye Roshi, Founding Abbot of Chozen-ji, a Rinzai Zen temple. He spent three years as a live-in trainee at the Daihonzan (headquarters) Chozen-ji, and is a student under Yokoyama Roshi. He has been a core part of building the Spring Green location of Chosei Zen Dojo of Wisconsin, a Zen training facility founded in 2006, host to many IZL programs.
Alex combines his Zen training with extensive experience in Integral Bodywork®, structural integration, nervous system and trauma therapy, and other somatic practices to facilitate lasting change in people, whether working one-on-one or teaching groups. He is the head of Red Beard Bodywork, a certified coach, and has taught in numerous IZL programs in the US and UK. He holds a degree in Philosophy from University of Hawaii.
